Fresh fennel adds a licorice taste to dishes. It can be eaten raw, baked or broiled. It can be added to soups and stews. Its flavor becomes milder when cooked. Store in the refrigerator. Strip fennel leaves off the bulb, wash and dry thoroughly to freeze. Use only for cooking when thawed. |
