Thank you all for the 2011 CSA season. It was an extremely tough weather year, but as most farmers do, we look forward to receiving 2012 seed catalogs and doing it all over next season.
A big change for next season includes, 3 - 8 week seasons. Early spring, summer and fall. We haven't finalized details yet, so stay tuned to the website.
Our CSA is successful because of our customers and we value constructive feedback. Please, give us your opinions on how we can be better.
Okay, now on to today's surprise veggies. Our good friend, Lori Sallet, of Boxers' Rest Farm has provided us with cabbage, radishes and globe turnips for the final box of the season. Lori does a fantastic job growing veggies and we welcome her to the organic community:)
Kittens: We have two orange male tiger kittens in our laundry room that were dropped on the side of the road Sunday night. They appear to be about 8 weeks old, use a litter box religiously, eat dry cat food and drink water. Someone raised these kittens in a house with lots of human contact. They're friendly, happy and healthy and FREE to a good home. We can put you in touch with a woman who has offered to neuter both of them (she's not the actual surgeon, but will take them for us!). We have 5 barn cats and the 6th cat is the kitten we brought home from Farmers' Market one day this summer. For the sake of my marriage, we CANNOT have one more cat!! |
